Summary: | 碩士 === 國立雲林科技大學 === 企業管理系 === 107 === The development of digital technology has created a new business model for enterprises, which is sharing economy. In order to let this new business model to develop successfully, enterprises must try hard to create competitive advantages that cannot be imitated. However, enterprises have extended this new business model to the international market. Under the international markets’ influence of different characteristics and characteristics of various, the difficulty of using competitive strategies has increased. Therefore, how to develop an appropriate strategy for enterprises that using the new business model, sharing economic, to compete in different international markets has become an important issue.
In the sharing economic business model, Uber is a kind the most famous car service. Uber has created a new business model. This service has the strength of innovation and technology. In addition to the United States, it had also developed into other international markets, and entered Taiwan in 2013. In Taiwan, the users of car service are not too many, but Uber created over 1 million users in just 4 years after Uber entering Taiwan. However Uber announced drop out the Taiwan market in 2017. Even they announced returned to the Taiwan markets few months later, but the development of Uber is also not so smoothly.
This study will focus on study of the main factors that affecting the development of Uber in Taiwan, and the research objectives will be as follows:
1. Analysis of the factors that why the development of Uber in Taiwan is limited.
2. Propose the theoretical and substantive contributions to the sharing economy business model.
