Summary: | 碩士 === 育達科技大學 === 休閒事業管理系碩士班 === 107 === This study performed a survey to ninth-grade junior high school students in Houli District, Taichung City to discuss whether students from different demographics have distinct“learning time” or “sleeping status”. The “learning time” in this study consists of “self-studying time”, “supplementary-studying time”, “connection-studying time”, “extension-studying time”, “value of time” and “target planning”; besides, the “sleeping condition” consists of “napping time”, “bed time”, “difficulty in falling asleep”, “difficulty in sleeping maintence”, “premature waking” and “sleeping obstacle”.
1. The results revealed that sample students with different backgrounds indeed exhibit different “learning time” and “sleeping condition”. For example, those who feel themselves in a low state of health or own low-educated parents tend to have less learning time and bad sleeps.
2. Moreover, the “self-studying time”, “connection-studying time”, “value of time” and “target planning” positively correlate to Chinese, mathematics, nature science, and English scores.
3. On the other hand, “premature waking” negatively correlates to Chinese, mathematics, and nature science scores, “difficulty in sleeping maintence” also negatively correlates to mathematics scores, and “bed time” positively correltes to Chinese scores.
4. In sum, the students with long learning time, clear concept of future learning and good sleeping quality tend to have good learning achievements. Based on these results and the demographics information of this study, we provide some suggestions to the school, the tutors, parents and students.
