Summary: | 碩士 === 臺北市立大學 === 應用物理暨化學系碩士在職專班 === 107 === This study aimed to compare the differences of two different teaching models between self-made ebook teaching and general teaching on second graders' learning outcomes in the life curriculum of "Light and Shadow" unit. The research of experimental course explored the effects on students' learning outcomes and their scientific attitudes. It used students' ebook feedback questionnaire and semi-structured interviews to understand students' viewpoints and feelings on self-made ebook teaching. It also explored the problems that teachers might encounter, and how they can sovle them through the videos of teaching processes and teacher's reflection records. In addition, it made some suggestions for teachers who are interested in related teaching researches about self-made ebook teaching.
This study used a "Quasi-experimental design." It used the data that collected from two second -grade classes of an elementary school in Nan gang District, Taipei City. The subjects were divided into two groups; we applied ebook teaching in the experimental group, and general teaching in the controlled group. The experimental course lasted for two weeks with ten teaching periods in total . This study used mixed-method anaysis, which includes quantitative and qualitative research. The quantitative data came from self-made "Light and Shadow" unit achievement tests and scientific attitude questionnaire. Then, we analyzed the quantitative results through Descriptive statistics, Paired Sample T-test, Independent Sample T-test, One-way ANOVA. The qualitative data came from students' semi-structured interviews, students' ebook feedback questionnaires, teacher's reflection records. The qualitative data were used to support the quantitative data. Finally, according to the quantitative and qualitative data, the study made some conclusions and suggestions.
The analysis results were summarized below:
1.Self-made ebook teaching can improve students' learning outcomes of "Light and Shadow" unit effectively.
2.Self-made ebook teaching can enhance students' scientific attitudes significantly.
3.Most students enjoyed Teacher's self-made ebook, and students held a positive acceptance toward Self-made ebook teaching.
4.Self-made ebook teaching would be helpful for teachers' teaching.
Based on the conclusions of the study, the researcher also provided some suggestions for teachers and future studies.
