Summary:碩士 === 臺北市立大學 === 學習與媒材設計學系課程與教學碩士學位在職專班 === 107 === The purpose of the study was to investigate the sense of humor and teaching effectiveness of Elementary School Teachers with different backgrounds in New Taipei City. The research, by means of questionnaire, uses the questionnaire “the sense of humor and teaching effectiveness of elementary school teachers in New Taipei City” as research tool. The subjects were public elementary school teachers. In all, there were 610 valid subjects. The analysis-methods included Percentage Analysis, T-test, one-way ANOVA and Pearson Product-Moment Correlation. Based on the statistical results, the findings of the study are summarized as follows: 1. The elementary school teachers in New Taipei City had high-intermediate sense of humor, and it shows the best on “appreciation of humor”, the worst on “creation of humor”. 2. The elementary school teachers in New Taipei City had high-intermediate teaching effectiveness, and it shows the best on “teaching assessment “, the worst on “teacher self-teaching belief”. 3. The perception of elementary school teachers in New Taipei City at humor showed significant differences according to various backgrounds, such as school district, school scale, marriage, age, educational background, years of teaching experience, and the position at school. 4.There is no difference in the sense of humor between the teachers of different genders in New Taipei City. 5. The perception of elementary school teachers in New Taipei City at teaching effectiveness showed significant differences according to various backgrounds, such as school district, school scale, gender, marriage, age, educational background, years of teaching experience. 6. New Taipei City Elementary School teachers in different school positions has no significant difference in teaching effectiveness. 7. The sense of humor and teaching effectiveness had a positive relationship in New Taipei City elementary school teachers. According to the findings of this study, we provide suggestions for the ministry of education, schools, educators and future researchers.
