| Summary: | 碩士 === 臺北市立大學 === 音樂學系 === 107 === In the history of 18th century music for the violin, Giuseppe Tartini plays an important role, no matters either in Composing or Teaching. He is known as “Maestro delle Nazioni” because he had created the first violin school in Europe. He followed Arcangelo Corelli, brought the violin-playing to another peak. Italy’s “Bel canto” also affected Giuseppe Tartini’s style and his composition.
This treatise is divided into four chapters with a conclusion. Chapter one including motivation, purposes, range and methods about this research. Chapter two provides a biographical sketch of Giuseppe Tartini and discusses about the historic background of his Devil’s Trill .Chapter three gives a musical analysis of the Kreisler edition of the Devil’s Trill Sonata. Chapter four is the interpretation of this work. Conclusion including an overall conclusion of this treatise.
