Summary: | 碩士 === 臺北市立大學 === 人文藝術學院國民小學教師在職進修公民與社會教學碩士學位班 === 107 === The purpose of this study was to explore the level comprehension of legal knowledge and the tendency of legal attitudes for elementary school students,to investigate if different background variables that can influence legal knowledge and legal attitudes or not,and the correlation related to legal knowledge and legal attitudes.
The subjects of this study are elementary school students in New Taipei City,and a self-designed questionnaire named “The Legal Knowledge and Legal Attitudes of Elementary School Students” is the main research methodology in this sdudy. All of the subjects are collected randomly in terms of the scales of schools. There are 638 valid questionnaires collected and all the data are analyzed through some statistic methods, such as descriptive statistics, independent samples T-test, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson product moment correlation.The research results are listed as follows:
1. Elementary School Students in New Taipei City have correct concepts toward legal knowledge.Those students highly understand the citizen’s rights and obligations,
while they have relatively low ideas with regard to the legal norms of social life.
2. Elementary School Students in New Taipei City actually hold active attitudes towards legal attitudes.They are very active in citizen’s rights and obligations, but they are slightly passive while facing legal knowledge of school life.
3. There are significant differences between students’ legal knowledge based on their grades, genders, parental attitudes, interest, study the frequency of legal knowledge,
attend the legal knowledge test, and number of times as a class cadre.
4. With regard to the legal attitudes for students,they are different from grades,genders, parental attitudes, interest, study the frequency of legal knowledge, and number of times as a class cadre.
5. Highly postive correlation has been found between the legal knowledge and the legal attitudes of the elementary school students in New Taipei City.
Finally, relevant suggestions based on the research results are proposed as references for education authorities, schools, teachers,as well as future studies on law-related education.
