In the 1980s, with the development of urban development, the popularity of space, economy, culture, and electronic information products was intertwined, which made new changes in human life styles and values, which also stimulated writers' creative thinking. Thus, in the 1980s, "urban literature" rose under the deliberate labeling of writers and became one of the mainstream literatures of the time. In different genres, poetry and novels are rich in creation, and the development of essays is scarce. However, prose narration is free, can fully express subjective emotions, and has the function of argumentation, observed by traits. "Urban prose" is more suitable for conveying urban spirit and value. In addition, when referring to "urban prose", scholars' research is mostly because Lin Yaode is the promoter and pioneer of "urban literature" and focuses on his creation. However, this also makes urban prose studies more than one person, and it is difficult to observe more. The creative form of multi-city essays. Therefore, through the prose works of Lin Yu , Lin Yaode and Du Shisan , this paper observes the development and value of urban prose and expands the thinking and understanding of urban prose. The full text will be discussed in three aspects, namely the development background of urban prose, urban space image and urban life experience. Based on human geography, supplemented by Kevin. Lynch's urban imagery, Simmel's urban life and monetary economy were analyzed, and the three writers' prose works were used to interpret the image of urban space through those elements, and the influence of different spatial images on human spiritual life and social interaction. Lin Yu, Lin Yaode, and Du Shisan used the images of the psychological city presented by the prose to restore the urban spirit observed by the writers in the 1980s.
