This thesis takes hands as reference, through observation of its gestures, by creating deformation and anthropomorphic shapes, connects non-figurative emotions through the representational images. After looking at the abstracted shapes, viewers can have freedom to imagine and make up abstract space within the image. In the abstract space, familiar images and flowing visual perception are created. Through this practice-led research, I brought about a self dialogue, consolidating my own life experience and point of view of the world. Chapter 1: Introduction, discusses my artistic expression and life. In the creative process, through hand gestures and shape transformation, the image is given a new meaning in the picture. Chapter 2: Spatial Expression, explores how the use of negative and positive spaces can be transformed into abstract shapes and refers to different artists’ works and individual characteristics to reflect on my artwork. Chapter 3: Analysis and Description of Artwork, bases on the Microscopic Mountain series, describes the creative context and direction and explains my creative concept and process. I explores the connection between my creative experience and life experience. By going through the creative experience, I went about self dialogue and self rediscovery, and created my personal vocabulary. Hope to use this thesis as a foundation, continue to have new insights and discovery on the creative path. CHANG, NAI-WEN 張乃文 2019 學位論文 ; thesis 49 zh-TW |
