| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北藝術大學 === 美術學系碩士在職專班 === 107 === On Clouds: Seeking and Glimpsing is a theatrical exhibition displayed by the creation of oil paintings. Through such a work, a female persona is therefore built up, and it voices herself. What is told is possibly experienced by the painter or is simply arranged for certain scene or plot.
The plot sets the cloud as a shield to separate the ego and the id, and by which the reality and the fantasy are divided, so to speak. Underneath the cloud, it describes an objective real world regarding the survival phenomena in external reality. Above the cloud, by employing a surreal narrative style, it manifests a subjective fantasy world about the psychological phenomena within. The Embedding of the Möbiusband and its concept of a loop further interpret the time, allowing the story to begin at a certain moment and to end at the same point of time.
The discourse of this creation is divided into five chapters:
The first chapter is Introduction. It discusses the background of the creation, depicting the motivation and the purpose of the creation inspired by the concept of art, which is acquired after entering the art school.
The second chapter is Life Story. By exploring the connection between the past and the current works, this chapter weaves a 2D theatrical creation to illuminate the perception and understanding of life about self and the others. The third chapter is Form of Creation. After comprehending the art-related style, it is then applied to the painter’s works. The fourth chapter is Flow of Time. It tries to focus on analyzing the work and to conceive the way of interpretation for the display of work. The fifth chapter is Conclusion. It is a summary of the perception obtained from the college, and is also the expectations and reflections on the future development of the creation.
