Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北藝術大學 === 新媒體藝術學系碩士班 === 107 === Will the modern Internet itself form an independent worldview? The network quickly steps into daily life like a flood, with a number of images spreading on the network. In the network era, with the highly developed image, discussion on art with ignorance of the image is almost a false proposition. In the same way, the transmission of network data is not confined to the information itself, in which art documents, as a particular kind of information, can appear in the eyes of the audience at a more astonishing speed of circulation and exposure. Compared with the real entity, the image and the network are virtual presentation, whose combination can form a new reality existence. The network image has changed people’s traditional cognition channel to the world and has produced a kind of alienation perception experience in the acceleration. Tightrope walking the fine line between reality and illusion inspires an approach that reveals the surreal state of contemporary networks and the digital image permeating through our contemporary realities. The reality in the virtual space and the virtual space in the reality are the inspiration of my research and the theme of my creation in the era of network. Stigler said in the book, "I am constantly becoming myself, that is, my own retention area." The field of retention is the third field of retention that he has proposed, that is, the externalization of conscious activity. I have to be myself in the field of Weibo, in the WeChat moments, in social app or in the field of photo videos. Instead of returning to the purely metaphysical state of my thinking, the field itself is led by an unscientific technological impulse that no one knows. Technological science is becoming a fiction, because it no longer describes reality, but invents possible things. And network image is the presentation of this technical science, which is most relevant to the essence of the image and network world that I care about.
