Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北藝術大學 === 博物館研究所 === 107 ===   The main study of this research is based on how Ping Shan Tang clan to interpret their own history. With this research, we can find their sense of identity through Ping Shan Heritage Trail. As one of the Hong Kong Largest clans, Ping Shan Tang clan claimed their ancestor came from the first emperor - Huang Di, who is considered the first emperor of Han history in mythology. So, Hong Kong Antiquities and Monuments office operated the first heritage trail in 1993. It promotes the culture of the clans and walled villages as it can tell the story of the traditional lifestyles in New Territories. The subjects of this research are Ping Shan Clan Gallery and Ping Shan Heritage trails, which is focusing on how they present themselves as a small-scale community and the community of clans. The research method using in this study are fieldwork and interviews. With the theory of small-scale community, this research attempts to find out the basis of clans forms in Hong Kong through researching Ping Shan Tang’s clan. It helps to understand the sense of identity of Tang’s, even the whole Hong Kong clans. In addition, architectures in Ping Shan strength the theme of the heritage trail. Cooperating with the theme of Ping Shan Clan’s Gallery, those monuments can also be the exhibits to express, to interpret the history of Ping Shan Tang Clan.
