The philosophy between Western and Chinese, it is just like a coin has two sides, there is nothing absolutely for sure. She choose to look at things from a different perspective and drawn on her imagination to relate the world. The opening Chapter “From Tracing to Appropriation” divided into three sections. Using “Draw” – “Shift” – “Use” as research questions, the study tried to elaborate the process of tracing Song Dynasty painting and contemplate the understanding of depicting the spirituality of nature on her artworks. Chapter two “Migrating Between Reality and Imagination” described the formation of subconscious in the creation of artworks by using tracing and appropriation way. From her paintings, she discovers indecisive selfhood between true and fictional space. Also, through investigating Western and Chinese traditional paintings, the artworks create optical illusions. Chapter three is “Run Away from Appropriation.” As the name implies, it is mainly to explain a new context by experiencing selfhood after alienating from appropriation. The main subject on her artworks – Animals, as parts of interpreting the fable, draws out the deeply feeling in her mind. Chapter four “The Variants of Narrative” mainly contains narrative of memories, spaces, and objects. During the period of the master program, she preliminarily tried to break through inertia of painting, so she made this kind of experimental creation. Therefore, the material transformed to different media. However, refer to the narrative analysis of these works, it became a bridge between the text and works, and also ran through the thread of the thesis. PAN, PING-YU 潘娉玉 2018 學位論文 ; thesis 63 zh-TW |
