Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺南藝術大學 === 博物館學與古物維護研究所 === 107 === It’s commonly happened on the wood art crafts with insect damage of holes and tunnels. Treating these damage with conservation’s gap-filling can make wood structure stable, and injectable fillers are more suitable than other filling-dealing to filling insect damage. This material is eary to work and conforms Minimal intervention without destroying the wood structure in conservation- process. This thesis focus on the possibility of treatment with injectable fillers on the field of wood conservation, and is involved about ageing test, moisture adsorption isotherm, tensile stregthtest and hardness test, ect. Main material of teset are include filling materials, such as glass bubbles, calcium carbonate, wood powder, Lycopodium powder, and adhesive, such as Plextol® D498, rabbit skin glue, Jade 403, joss powder. The result shows, Plextol ®D498 filler is good characters of ageing and elasticity, but low strength wasn’t suitable to treat large miss or hole. Rabbit skin glue filler is hight hardness and streght, but elasticity and stickiness are poor. And, rabbit skin glue filler is easily affected by humidity. Jade No.403 filler was well fexible and movable is suitable to fill deep hole, but its characters of shrinkage is poor. Joss powder filler isn’t a good injectable filler. Plextol ®D498 filler is more suitable than others to apply on outdoor.
