碩士 === 國立臺南藝術大學 === 造形藝術研究所 === 107 === Leaving my home country Macau and familiar environment, I came to Taiwan alone to learn visual art in Tainan National University of the Arts. Along the process, I felt the big gap, thus with the remained sensibility, I grasped whatever that gave me strength, and slowly discovered the fun. This thesis is divided into four chapters, which includes the art making process within these 3 years(2016−2019) in school, the record of my practice journey, my thoughts and state of mind. Initially, my works all started from my personal tangled affection and thoughts, and slowly I chose performance art as medium, to develop it into a work with more characteristic. The first chapter describes the generation I am living in - a generation full of violence, and how it has caused oppression to our body and mind. The second chapter is about the need of therapy when we are confronting the violent and noisy external-world, in order to achieve a peace of mind. The third chapter focuses on the exploration of medium that suits my works best, which includes self sensory development, and also the relationship between art making and performance art. The fourth chapter is a preliminary discussion on the differences between the past and contemporary performance art, and how I define my position within it. Last but not least, the fifth chapter records my performance art works over the past two years, and also how oppression in my own experience triggered creation regarding violence. By provoking audiences to participate, and see what happens along the way. Inspired by teachers and fellow classmates, I began a wonderful journey of seeking.
