Furthermore, Micro LED as so called the next generation LED has attracted much attention between academia and industry to exploit application in various areas as it possesses excellent physical properties, high economic value and having a high premium value for the next generation lighting device. Among several characteristics in the micro LED, Mass Transfer technology is the most critical process for micro LED fabrication. The main objective of this research study is patent information searching, companies patent portfolio analysis, establish the technology development trajectory through patent bibliographic data and also impact of the new technology on existing industry. This research study indicates that the Mass Transfer technology patents are mostly process patent, and the applicants are holding different key technology which believed the new technology will promote the industry to high vertical integration.
