Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 光電工程系 === 107 === In recent years, Yb3+-doped fiber lasers have been widely used in various fields, such as machining, biomedical treatment, defense military, laser projection, optical data storage, and laser engraving. But there are still limitations in applying high power. Therefore, in order to replace the Yb3+-doped fiber laser, we have studied Yb3+-doped aluminum garnet crystal fiber laser. In this paper, the Yb3+: YAG crystal fiber grown by Professor Sheng-Lung Huang’s laboratory of National Taiwan University is applied as the gain medium. We have successfully made a 1050 nm Yb3+: YAG crystal fiber laser amplifier system. In the 2.4 cm crystal fiber with 25μm core diameter, signal gain under the 960nm pump is 1.01dB, and signal gain under the 1030nm pump is 0.83dB. In addition, the 6.7 cm crystal fiber with 39μm core diameter, signal gain under the 960nm pump is -3.25dB, and signal gain under the 1030nm pump is -5.46dB. In a low power amplifier, the 2.4 cm crystal fiber is more suitable as a gain medium than the 6.7 cm one.
