Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 管理學院工業工程與管理EMBA專班 === 107 === Most of smart home studies only emphasized on individual management with no exploration of potiential convenience that a cloud housekeeper can offer to the control of smart buildings. Moreover, cloud server industry design only rely on data center demand feedback, which results in the information divergence and causes the design to be unaligned with user requirements. Therefore, the purpose of this study is not only to review the issues about smart buildings addressed in literature, but also to collect user opinions through interviews, and finally applies the MoSCow analysis to go deep into the problems about security, energy consumption, air-conditioning, noise control, medical care, cockroach-free environment, an entertainment, then to suggest how a cloud server (Housekeeper) can support smart building applications. Results from semi-structured interviews showed that, for the smart office buildings, both “public cloud” and “private cloud” were required. Issues needed to be resolved in order of priorities were security, energy consumption, air-conditioning, and noise control. On the other hand, for the smart home buildings, only “private cloud” was required. Issues needed to be resolved in order of priorities were security, noise control, air-conditioning, and energy consumption. According to the findings, the concerns about working in smart office buildings and living in samrt home buildings are similar though the orders of priorities are different. Overall, this research has revealed user requirements and provided design suggestions for managers of smart buildings and designers of cloud severs to consider in their future design plan.
