Using drugs is not only an external incentive, but also the internal motivation and living environment. Objective: This study hopes to understand the relationship between personal traits, family status, medication status and self-esteem of third- and fourth-level drug users and holders. Method: This study is based on the Municipality a government Health Bureau Drug Abuse Prevention Center. For the 3rd and 4th level drug users and holders which penalties and six to eight hours of drug training courses are required for violations of the Drug Hazard Prevention Regulations. This study adopts a convenience sampling that the sampling method. A total of six workshops course, the total number of participants to 260 people (not repeated). The effective questionnaire was 207, and the recovery rate was 79.6%. Results: About the research the basic information, the proportion of males was higher (82.6%); the age was 21-30 years old (68%); the education level was the highest with higher vocational education (30%); the marital status was unmarried (83.7%) higher than married (11.7%); the job profession is the most in the service industry (32.9%); the work situation is the most (65.5%) for the full-time workers; the work income is the majority (30.1%) from 20,001 to 30,000 NT. About the research the family information, parental marital status, parental marital status is the highest proportion of cohabitation (62.6%); the smallest in the family is the most (39.1%); the family economy is the majority (56.3%); the family is taking drugs (6.3%); The highest proportion of warmth (59%); most people thinks that didn’t have family pressure (60.8%), but if have the most proportion of home finance (27.1%). About the research the drug information, the frequency of use of third- and fourth-grade drugs was the highest (32.4%) in 1-3 times in six months; the age of first-time drugs was the highest in 13-18 years (36.2%). Conclusion: In terms of self-esteem, there is a significant difference between work income and home economy, and self-esteem. Suggestion: About practical work provides vocational counseling to help drug users to seek help in economic difficulties, and to more effectively assist and prevent and increase the effectiveness of drug prevention efforts.
