碩士 === 南臺科技大學 === 資訊傳播系 === 107 === The Podcast industry and its audience size have a tendency to grow in these years; however, the Podcasters and their audience are still minorities in the media and entertainment industry. Although a plenty of Podcast programs hit the market within the past 10 years, only a few of them exist nowadays. The incomplete business model for Podcast industry in Taiwan is root cause, forcing newcomers to the industry to strive by themselves, and this makes it difficult to run a long-term business. The Podcast programs can focus on a specific topic and there are a few restrictions on the context, making the Podcasters and their audience a minority group in the group. Nevertheless, its operation mechanism and other factors make the Podcasters unable to know the details about their audience. To figure out the barriers to development and the possible solutions for Podcast industry in Taiwan, we conducted in-depth interviews with the active Podcasters in Taiwan to probe into issues like industry condition, program creation process and the future development. The research results and related references are aggregated to build a path for newcomers in Podcast industry to follow, and the key factors to profit and grow are also reorganized to help Podcasters operate a long time.
