Description
Summary:碩士 === 南臺科技大學 === 電子工程系 === 107 === Power line communications (PLCs) use existing power line for data transmission, then it doesn’t need to deploy extra signal cables. Using this technology can reduce the number of signal cables and decrease the weight of vehicles. Therefore the PLCs may be an alternative technology for in-vehicle communication in the future. As in wireless communications, the channel fading problem caused by multipath will be faced in the in-vehicle power line communications. Therefore, multipath modeling is an important issue when we use the power lines as transmission channels in automobile. In this thesis, a multipath modeling of in-vehicle power line communication channel is built up through carrying out point-to-point behavior measurement of PLC channels on the Luxgen U6 Turbo commercial automobile. Based on the measurement data, the transfer functions of PLC channels in frequency domain are developed first. Using inverse Fourier transform, the impulse responses of the PLC channels are computed. The mathematical expression of the channel model is then obtained. Finally we write MATLAB programs to simulate the multipath phenomena of in-vehicle PLC channels and the channel fading effect on the PLCs. The proposed multipath model of in-vehicle PLC channels can provide a good reference for the engineers who design or develop an in-vehicle power line communication system.
