The Internet has inevitably changed students’ lives. Digital gap between urban and rural areas has had an impact on students’ use of the Internet. We should pay attention to understand the use of the Internet by the students in the rural areas. For this study, 300 questionnaires have been distributed to students with 222 or 74% valid in exploring the correlation between "Internet use behavior", "Internet addiction" and "physical and mental health status". I have found there is no significant correlation between student “Internet use behavior” and “Internet addiction”. The Internet use behavior may relate to versatile functions of 3C products and easiness of surfing the Internet. There is a significant correlation between "Internet addiction" and "physical and mental health”. Obviously, Internet addiction has an effect on physical and mental health. This study shows that most of the unlimited Internet use behavior for students take place at home. We must pay attention to students’ Internet surfing after school. This study also indicates that most of the students surf the Internet at home after school, because there's no valuable activities arranged for them. Related families must therefore make necessary arrangements for the students to avoid abuse on the Internet. In Comparison with other related research, this study shows that junior-high-student Internet addiction is less related to adults. This should be caused with regular routine for junior high students. Also, a research directed by Su Sumin against different variables such as gender, Internet time, Internet access and Internet addiction indicates that most preliminary school students use Internet at home, most of them use audio-video function, and about 60% use Internet for more than 1 hour a week. This study shows that 60% of the junior high school students use Internet for about 2-3 hours weekly, which is in compliance with Su's result. Huang Hui-Ling 黃惠苓 2019 學位論文 ; thesis 53 zh-TW |
