In addition to the school environment, there are various channels for studens to get new knowledge. This study wanted to know if Science and Technology University students could have a clear view to the future under self-directed learning and with the social support like families, teachers, and peers. Finally, the study also recommended suggestions for future research to schools and other researchers based on the results of the research and analysis. This study samples were collected from paper and online questionnaires. The questionnaires included basic personal data, self-learning and future orientation, learning and living environment, vocational learning and social participation. The research objects were students from Science and Technology University of the southern Taiwan. The study issued a total of 260 questionnaires and 236 valid samples were responsed. The effective recovery rate was 90.76%. The study found that both social support and professional learning would positively influence self-directed learning, which affects the students' view of future. The study aimed to assist the academic departments not only in helping students face the study pressure, but knowing how to strengthen the supports for the students, so that students can be more certain about the future in the university and adjust the direction of their studies. 簡南山 2019 學位論文 ; thesis 62 zh-TW
