A Study on the Influence of Spiritual Integration Immersing in Sexual Counseling on the Intimate Relationship of Middle-Aged Women

碩士 === 樹德科技大學 === 人類性學研究所 === 107 === This study aimed to apply spiritual integration to sexuality counseling to allow modern humans to be assisted in the face of difficulties, frustrations or stress. This study used qualitative methods and was conducted on six married women aged 40-55, using the theory of integrated psychology (meditation practice) and the PLISSIT model of sexuality counseling as treatment strategies. Meditation practice was performed in three phases of three months (3 times every week, 2 hours each time) to reconstruct the intimate relationships of participants. In-depth semi-structured interviews were conducted to collect data. Verbatim draft was formed and relevant data analysis and conceptual analysis were then carried out. The results revealed that after the process of treatment to facilitate intimate relationship reconstruction, meditation exercises were found to associate with mindfulness. Moreover, the ability to enhance personal beliefs and mindfulness is important in the context of maintaining intimate relationships and overall well-being. The communication is a bridge between marriage and intimacy; it is one of the elements of the system to establish close relationships. Couples need to understand, tolerate, accept, and develop mindfulness energy, in order to maintain intimate relationships. The suggestions were drawn. Those middle-aged women should perceive, know and evaluate themselves through spirituality (meditation practice). Social consultancy organisations should apply spiritual skills to counseling at the right time.
