碩士 === 樹德科技大學 === 應用設計研究所 === 107 === ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to establish an innovative guitar course that will stimulate the students of Pajo National High School, to scout talents and train them for the upcoming attempt at the Guinness World Book of World record for the largest group of people playing a guitar, by simultaneously playing Filipino made instrument. The research questions of this study are primary concerned on comparing the scores pre-lesson and post-lesson for students who are self-learning and those with learning from class only, determine if there is a relationship and how to improve it. What learning material or resource can be made to improve their musical learning capabilities, as far as guitar playing is concerned? Develop of a video documentation of the development of the students. The methods used in this study are mixed qualitative and quantitative, course design, innovative education. The random sampling was done to select fifty students to undergo pre-test and post-testing. Pearson correlation was resorted to and statistical result showed a “weak correction” between the pre and post-test. This was the basis for the creation of the course training manual. The specific recommendations were Regular testing is recommended to monitor progress, self-recorded videos can be used to motivate students, innovative grade system is recommended to be used, further study and a follow-up study on the actual Guinness Record attempt is needed.
