Researcher recruited twelve audience and conducted in-depth interviews to exploring how the audience interpretation the media text, besides further observe the reader's recognition, consumption and performance of the plot role. This study found that the audience’s recognition can be classified into three types: self-identity, ideal identity, and patriotic sentiment. The part of self-identification can be subdivided into: identity of love concept, identity of attitude, and identification of life experience. Each respondent may have more than one kind of identity, and multiple kinds of identity are included. The readers will also project themselves on the character because of the recognition of the drama text, and through the purchase of drama-related goods, online discussion, imitation, star-catching, pilgrimage, etc., to connect with the characters in the play to achieve an imaginary satisfaction. In the gender difference in text interpretation, this study explores five topics: "imagination of the army", "patriotic sentiment", "fall in love with soldiers", "women's status is higher than men", and "friendship with the batchmate". "Patriotic sentiment" and "friendship with the batchmate" are a kind of universal value, which makes the interpretation patterns of male and female audiences more similar. In the face of "fall in love with soldiers" and "the status of women is higher than men", the explanations of male and female audience are similar. It can be found that the stereotype of social shaping still deeply affects the audience. In "Imagination of the Army", women who do not have military experience are mostly interpreted by superiority, while men use their own experience to interpret negotiation or opposition.
