博士 === 世新大學 === 中國文學研究所 === 107 === The main concern of this essay is about novel-writings of Mr. Tai Jingnong, and his first half of life history which surrender within literature, academic and politics. Structurally, this essay is divided into several chapters according to the novel writng history of Mr. Tai – Local literature, Revolutionary literature, Anti-Japanese literature. The main concern is to reflect the established discussions of former research. Methodologically, we will investigate characteristics of novel writings of Mr. Tai through perusing his biographical data and literatural techniques, to concern the difficulties and choices of his first half being both personal and social practice. This text is trying to descript that story lines of Mr. Tai’s novels is inseparable to the situations of creation works, which are refer to each other. His novels, which are all wrote for purposes, interweaved within several complex factors such as traditional cultures, identity of the author, Left-wing revolutionary trend, obsessions of China. As a response to current situation, which become the witness of self emotions and thoughts in the same time. Having it’s own unique style, therefore possess “Presentation type” local novels, “Witness type” revolutionary novels, and several valuable creations which attempted new changes to the historical tradition.
