Since becoming the president of People’s Republic of China, he proposed the concept of “Innovative social governance model”. This concept established “The Chinese Social Credit System”, this system gives organizations and citizens a social credit score in order to strengthen social management. Since then it has rapidly developed into a network security system. It integrates the Internet, Big Data, Artificial Intelligence and other advanced technologies with “The Chinese Social Credit System” to control cyber space and the physical world.
This research aims to discover the mechanism by which the PRC executes the “social credit system” through Theories of Cultural Reproduction”, and trying to explain and analyze the interaction between the government and its citizens. The PRC’s use of this system definitely violates human rights. By the use of legal and publicity channels, the CCP attempts to convince the public of the advantages of this system and its implementation. Furthermore, the PRC urges its citizens to spy on each other to achieve maximum efficiency. Lastly, the author analyzes the positive and negative examples to find out the problems and disadvantages of such a mechanism. The paper concludes with an assessment of how this system will affect the CCP internally, cross-strait relations and international issues. Based on above analysis, the author will propose policy recommendations to the government.
