碩士 === 東吳大學 === 心理學系 === 107 === This self-narrative research describes the issue of self-identification faced by myself from adolescence. I continued to comply and rebel against mainstream value, but never grew the subjectivity and didn’t know who I am. After meeting narrative, I found that I actually had the power, eager to break free from the status quo. Through writing, acting and practicing, I finally became myself. This is my life story, started from a teenager with low self-esteem, but desired to be seen. The story also includes a tough mother and daughter relationship, hatred of non-mainstream appearance, and yearning for creating relationship. Through writing, not only it leads me to understand life experience on different angles, but also helps me try to mend fences with my mother. In the beginning of practical counselling from graduate institute, I struggled wondering which kind of counselor I was going to be, but as I kept working on my thesis, and practicing in my life and counselling, I become myself. I grow subjectivity without depending on mainstream lift style.
