In such aspect, bone china materials are similar to normal day-by-day porcelains; their characteristics are: appearance with smooth creamy white, lighter texture, and higher translucency. In the beginning stage of the study, the researcher reviews the literatures in order to understand the producing methods and process of bone china, and utilizes hollow grouting as the forming approach. With the support of Taguchi Robust Design, the researcher obtains the material ratio for optimized bone china translucency. Subsequently in the process of experimentation and creation, the researcher unexpectedly found out that bone china could generate unique sounds through collision and percussion. Finally, the product creation moves toward the development of lamps and wind chimes. Lamps are created in the form of translucent chandelier, emitting the light from inner source through bone china lamps. As for wind chimes, multiple bells are utilized, making ringing sounds by colliding with each other. In addition, issues of cracking and burnt distortion are gradually resolved.
