Summary: | 碩士 === 實踐大學 === 媒體傳達設計學系碩士班 === 107 === Living in social media age. Unlike the past, people build up identities with internet images instead of literal touching or reaction. In such system, it is easy and quick to achieve ideal image to everybody. However, this fact has intensified distance between people and their true self. With the background, people have been forced to develop visible images without inner foundation. How do people truly aware their existence without physical contact? With the technology development, it seems the most terrifying to see someone`s true self. This thesis aims to explore someone`s real identity by photography. Further, the author is going to study and experience through the following three parts: 1.Research Methods 2.Literature Review and Analysis 3.Working Progress and Concept Transformation.
1. Research Methods
Hoping to set the basis of the necessity and reliability of self-existence by organizing external virtual self and exploring the inner true self, I obtain two different methods: using pre-arranged shooting for external observation and recording photographing for confirming the uncertain inner images of one self, to interpret the two tendencies of observing it while one maturing. At last, I will combine the two images to explore and study if there is a co-existence, even a mutual cooperation between the two tendencies, using it to ease the uncertainty and anxiety of building up one self while growing.
2. Literature Review and Analysis
Starting with painting and photography logic. Within connecting impressionist painting composition and photographer`s points of view. Furthermore, with discussion about dramatic photography and relevant painters. The author is going to elaborate his perspective and details in his works.
3. Working Progress and Conception Transformation
At the latter half of my thesis, I will compare and analyze the many imaging concepts of my work during my master academic career and start a series of concept-progression development to raise the discussion of more possibilities.
Creating is like growing and exploring. As I finished one piece of my work, I will get to define more of myself. Each of them is like a puzzle. Gathering all of those will finally piece together my own true self. Although there is a chance that the final result may not be the realest one, it will be the best one I could get in my limited time.
