In recent years, exhibition spaces of new type are emerging in Taiwan. Being different from traditional museums and art galleries, many of them are remodeled from warehouses with historic value, such as Huashan 1914 Creative Park, Songshan Cultural and Creative Park, Taichung Cultural and Creative Industry Park, The Pier-2 Art Center, etc. In order to understand how they are used as exhibition space, this study chooses Warehouse No. 1-5 of Songshan Cultural and Creative Park as the research subject, examining their different spatial configuration under different exhibition activities. In specific, the tool of visual graph analysis (Space Syntax) is used for drawing comparison with the result of on-site observation. As a result, suggestions for future exhibition planning are proposed as follows: 1. Different exhibition activities should be placed according to their different relations with visitors. If there is a need to create an enclosed area, the visual continuity should be taken into priority consideration. 2. Because most of the warehouses are narrow and long spaces, it is necessary to avoid the elements that may create visual obstruction along the long axis. If unavoidable, the use of key visual design is of great importance. 3. Circulation should be organized to allow visitors to move freely or linger around. Unnecessary separation and dead ends should be avoided. 4. Most warehouses are in the rectangular shape with no divisional walls. The design of exhibition display should give weight to the visual relationship between the visitors and the displayed object. Factors such as height of exhibition stands, level of visual penetration, and focus of visiting experience are all relevant. HUANG,KUANG-TING 黃光廷 2019 學位論文 ; thesis 93 zh-TW
