We discussed the forming flow, forming force, thickness variation and strain of the billet during the drawing forming. The simulation results of each forming stage were compared with the experimental results. The results showed that this study designed and manufactured the die which was based on the design criteria of the drawing ratio. The dimension of the part was matched with the original design requirement. The cost of the develop is the major improvement in the process. It decreased 7% cost of the material. Using the progressive die to instead of the human transfer. Economize manpower about 75%. The production efficiency was about 4,000 pcs/day by 6 people. Improve to produce 14,000 pcs/day by one man. The progressive die could raise about 3 times efficiency. Therefore, this study successfully develop a progressive stamping die of the decorative tail pipe of exhaust pipe. Transfer the stage die to be the progressive die. And using the CAD to help the traditional die to reduce the pilot test dates of the design, the cost of the design and manufacture and it is more helpful to the production efficiency of stamping.
