| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立虎尾科技大學 === 資訊管理系碩士班 === 107 === Currently, the Ministry of Education in Taiwan promotes the vocational-high schools to implement the new curriculums for strengthening students’ learning process. It makes the Taiwan’s entrance examination for universities of science and technology be with significant changes in the way of applying entrance admission for these universities. For investigating students’ preferences to different universities while they applied the entrance admissions of the favorite universities, we used the TrueSkill Ranking System and Social Network Visualization to analyze the relationships among the universities. Our research is to apply the skill competitive evaluation method and then constructs a social network to obtain the most appropriate interpretation of the social network concept hidden in a network of universities based on the information of students' entrance admission application. Therefore, this research extends the research of ranking system and network visualization to the analysis of big data and the detection of optimal sub-clusters in a social network. It makes each sub-group of universities can understand the characteristics of the students who are suitable for this sub-group universities and also provide students with reference to the future appropriate selection of universities and their departments.
