In the experiment, two electro-optic modulators and optical switches are used as switching transmission bits, and the two components are compared. The optical switch is based on the architecture proposed by Lian et al. and replaced by ultra-high speed optical switch. The optical modulator is applied to the architecture used in this study. In the experiment, Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) and Optical Circulator were used for user codec. And the Pattern Generator output data is modulated by the dual EOM and the optical switch respectively. The modulated signal is transmitted as a component for switching the transmission bit to a polarized wireless transmission architecture composed of collimator, Polarizer, Beam Splitter (BS) and Polarizer Beam Splitter (PBS). which generates horizontal and vertical polarized optical signal. The output part of the data is to demodulate the decoded signal by using the Balanced Photodetector (BPD). Using the characteristics of BPD, the optical signals are subtracted from the upper and lower branches in order to achieve a bipolar codec system architecture. This system can achieve a simple and low-cost way to build a multi-user network architecture.
