The inlet flow rate is 20 ml/min with mixture of 20% CO2 and 80% H2. The catalyst loading is 0.2 g. The reactor temperature is controlled in a furnace. The results show that at lower temperature the CO2 conversion for both Ni/SiO2-Al2O3 and Ru/Al2O3 catalysts is quickly increased with the increasing temperature. At higher temperature it falls down slowly with the increasing temperature. The Ni/SiO2-Al2O3 catalyst generally shows better performance, and its CO2 conversion can reaches a maximum CO2 conversion of 92% at 300°C, while it is 82% at 350°C for Ru/Al2O3 catalyst. The lower CO2 conversion of the Ru/C catalysts so it is not a good choice for the CO2 methanation. The CO can be produced via reverse water gas shift reaction. The CO concentration is negligible at lower temperature for both Ni/SiO2-Al2O3 and Ru/Al2O3 catalysts, and it is increased with the increasing temperature when temperature is higher than 450°C.
