Besides, the total phenolic content and total flavonoid content were used as experimental indicators by the samples with the highest total polyphenols/flavonoids contents. The evaluating efficacies include antioxidant, moisturizing, anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer. The results showed that the hot reflux extraction of VA sample has the highest total phenolic content of 20.6 ± 0.15 mg GAE / g. Using DSC to measure the VA sample by hot reflux method, the freezing bound water content of the sample was 16.37%, which was better than the control 5% glycerol (8.97%) and 10% glycerol (10.60%). In addition, both the VA samples by hot reflux and ultrasonic extractions present a good antibacterial; besides, the ultrasonic VA has a best antibacterial effect for Escherichia coil than that of streptomycin sulfate. At low concentrations, VA extract has good anti-inflammatory effects on mouse macrophages (Raw264.7).More worth mentioning, the samples by the hot reflux has an excellent anti-cancer effect for the colorectal cancer cell (HT-29) than that of 5-FU chemotherapy drug.
