As a result of the population structural changed, diverse usage patterns are also born. Condominimuns have been renovation at different scales, as well as the households changed. The household changed in the study refers to buildings that are residential before and after renovation. Using in-depth interview to understand the willingness of the owner of household changed. Before the interview, we review the literature and regulations. The interview includes the type of household change, the communication between the owners, and ownership ascription. The interviewees included lands office staff, architects, management committees and residents. According to the interview, enforcement act of changing buildings classified use in 2004, household changed case is not common in recent years. The household changed cases provided by the interviewees are mostly combined. The age of the house is more than 20 years, and the change time is more than 10 years ago. Condominium Management Ordinance required more than 2/3 of households to attend and 3/4 of the attendees agree. Residents in order to avoid enter the ownership meeting, they prefer using the method that can avoid to change structures or common parts. There is also the condominiums revise down their condominium instrument to 1/2 of households to attend and 1/2 of the attendees agree. Due to legal reviews will increased operating time and additional costs, most owners are unwilling to execute. Taking Kaohsiung City’s annual income for example, we infer that about 60% of the citizens can afford the review fee. And the review time can be informed to the owner in advance. The awareness of structural safety, management committee and residents are worried about structural issues. We suggest that making the review fee and time transparency. The owner could submit a structural calculation certificate to the management committee to eliminate doubts among residents. Enhance chances of residential renovations in the future.
