In this digital age, the nature of printed book is changing. Students tend to lose interest in reading when the books are lacking any learning supports. The teachers, authors and researchers should try to adapt a new technology while developing teaching materials. The form of augmented reality was integrated to the printed book on the development of the Biology book used in current study where the purpose was to help increase students’ attitude and learning outcome of Biology material. It’s believed applying augmented reality to the traditional science book will give benefits to students, teachers and researcher. A quasi-experimental research with pretest and posttest, was used to compare and measure whether or not a technology in book affects the learning outcome and learning attitude towards Biology. The sample for this study consisted of 68 ninth grade students. Food Biotechnology Knowledge questions and Attitude Towards Biology questionnaires were given before and after experiment and were used for data collection. The analysis of this study was conducted using Descriptive Statistics, Paired Sample T-Test, ANCOVA, Pearson Correlation and Triangular Analysis on qualitative data. Statistical analysis revealed that using augmented reality as a learning supplement of the printed book could improve students’ learning attitude towards Biology and learning outcome, especially in analyzing level. In addition, an analysis of correlation between the learning outcome and attitude result in both group are provided and discussed. Finally, recommendations for future practices and research are also discussed. Weng yang ,Sz-Chien 翁楊絲茜 2019 學位論文 ; thesis 95 en_US
