碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 創業創新管理碩士在職專班 === 107 === Education, particularly in Chinese culture, has always been an area where parents are very concerned about and are willing to invest for kids to learn. This education culture has created many business opportunities in terms of educational products and educational services, and one particular service that is very common in Taiwan is the cram school. Cram school, or cram school culture, is almost a must-participated activity during Taiwanese student''s growth, thanks to Taiwan''s education system, job market, and lifestyle. For example, the majority of Taiwan''s educational system of advancing to a higher school depends on academic grades in a particular subject, or achievement in extracurricular activities. In order to stay competitive and advantageous, many students have to attend crams school or private tutoring after classes to improve their English, math, or other academic subjects. Due to these demands, more and more cram schools have opened on the street. Most parents in Taiwan have to work during the day, and therefore, sending their kids to cram school or after school caring is almost necessary if they get off the school early. By sending their kids to cram school, parents do not need to worry about after school caring and homework, because these cram school teachers would take care of the work to make sure the kids are safe and have completed their homework for the day before going home. As a result, "cram school" becomes the solution for parents'' needs for their children. When we think about cram school, the education system, job market, lifestyle, and many problems caused by these social phenomena, sometimes we have to pause, and rethink about what is the true meaning of "education," so that we will not waste money, or spend money educate someone who ends up learning nothing, low proper manner, and unnecessary professional skill. As a college educator, we believe there are a market and a need where parents would rather focus on talent, health, and character development for the children. Therefore, this business plan will explore the possibility of "iDance English School," where we will focus on bringing "Confidence" to the kids while fulfilling parents'' need on the three developments mentioned above. "iDance English School" will focus on combining the education of dancing and English Speaking/Acting. Through our professional line up of teachers and curriculums, our value proposition is "confidence," and our goal is to train kids to become the star of tomorrow. With our S.T.E.P online and off-line business approach, we want to make our kids confident, and at the same time promote the fun and healthy lifestyle of dancing to kids, adults, and parents. In order to do so, we will re-design a space suitable for providing both English, theatre, and dance training under the right government policy for education. In this space, parents can save time sending their kids to learn in one location, and kids will learn how to become more confident and healthier through our program.
