By adding CNT into the adhesive and the use of gold plated sip sockets, localized voltage change measurement can be achieved. This research also investigates the influence of air bubble and soldering technic to the electrical response. After conducting the voltage change measurement during tensile test, cyclic loading tensile test, and fatigue test, we identify a parameter called critical damage ratio(Kcr). Through conducting the fatigue-after-cyclic loading tensile test, the ability of Kcr which utilized as a sensor of critical damage for lap joints has been proved.
