Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 商學研究所 === 107 === With the rising of FinTech, the traditional financial institutions start their revolution of the business model. Among of the various kinds of new technologies, Open Banking is considered as the future and opportunity for the traditional banks and institutions.
This thesis examines the strengths and weaknesses of Taiwan in terms of developing the business model of Open Banking, and whether Taiwan possesses sufficient competitive advantages about the issue. Starting from the business model, opportunities and challenges of Open Banking, this thesis then focuses on analyzing the global top leaders on Open Banking to explore the factors of success for these countries.
To see if Taiwan has the mature environment for developing Open Banking compared with the countries in the previous chapter, this thesis uses Michael Porter’s Diamond Model to analyze the competitive advantages of Taiwan. The results suggest that although the domestic demands and the related and supporting industries in Taiwan show the strengths, the human resources, the environment of the financial industry and the policy of the government are lack of competence.
