However, social issues have been related to science, such as food safety, nuclear energy and climate change. These categories of social and public issues with scientific or technological content are nominated "social science issue." In recent years, Taiwanese society still lacks of attitude based on scientific knowledge. Moreover, the related topics often implicate different knowledge leads to the general public relies on the information provided by the mass media. As a result of this, the discussion of "social science issues" involves social public, the participation of scientists and the media. Media and science majors are complex communication relationships. Among many social science issues, even if the issue itself is highly valued, most people in the society still lack of basic knowledge and information. Moreover, it is a complex relationship between scientific research and social development. Science may represent difficult academic theories for the most community but scientific research and application have an important impact on the direction of social development. The civil society is willing to participate in the discussion of public issues such as science and technology is an important indicator to measure the maturity of society. Whether social issues with scientific connotations can be disseminated through the media and urge the public will have a deeper discussion and dialectic, which is related to the process of scientific communication development. Therefore, this research based on the literature review and the in-depth interview for the data collection and interviews on the experience of scientific communication practitioners on social science issues, and then discuss the views of practitioners.
