This study investigates the operational strategy of a Taiwan cookware enterprise.
By using in-deep interviews to analyze the opportunities, threats, strengths and weakness of Taiwan cookware industry, the study uses a D company for empirical research. The interview questionnaire includes opportunities, threats, entry barrier, customer sources, types and preferences, the key success factors, big-china area market size and
developmental strategy, corporate business strategy, and governmental support for enhancing cookware industry environment. The research procedure includes literature review, open questionnaire survey, 5 cookware firms in-depth interviews, industry 5 force analysis, the D company’s SWOT, TOWS analysis and strategic suggestions. The findings are as follows:
The D company has successful built a well-organized business throughout the years, and it has changed to proper business operations and depends on internet media. Taiwan cookware industry faces small market and integration crisis. The entrepreneurs could adopt internet media, emphasize human resource, and focus on customer needs.
Meanwhile, it would certainly be helpful to Taiwan cookware industry, if government could provide appropriate industry policy for supporting business and encouraging human resource.
