Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 藝術與造形設計學系碩士班 === 107 === Under my father’s uplifting influence on my childhood while playing in woods and in the mountain, I have been attached to plants, admiring their tenacious vitality to grow and thrive into various states under tough environments. Inspired by the plants, this practical work develop the contents including the plane painting, metalwork creation, and mixed media, as follows: Painting Series. Beckoning bees and butterflies - this series uses flowers as the subject combining with the family and sibling love, as well as the flower image. The author then projects it into the picture as a metaphor of parents’ unconditional sacrifice for next generation and siblings’ intimate emotion. Metalwork Series - capricious seeds. Seeds is safe in its shell; yet they should constantly endeavor to break through the thick shell to keep growing. They have to sustain from various ordeals before thy could become a towering tree. The author thus selects metal to express the seed stamina. Mixed Media - guess who I am? The author use objects or wasted materials common in daily lives to conduct creation and display plants’ exuberant vitality for the work able to press closer to spectators’ life and advocate the environmental consciousness. Creation is starting from the sense to recognize myself, recalling my life story and childhood’s joyful remembrance… both are closely linked with the plant which is growing in an environment sabotaged by human but silently devote themselves to mankind. They spare no effort to survive in this world. We, the human being, shall learn from plants during the trials of life, and create our own path bravely.
