The research method was an experimental research method. There were 30 first-grade student in New Taipei City participated in the study. Students were randomly divided into an experimental group and a control group. The multimedia English teaching materials were used. The three subjects of Subject Conversation, Let’s Talk and Learn More were selected as the teaching content of the experimental research. The two themes were the learning content of one unit. The teaching of multimedia digital textbooks designed by TLSR teaching mode and traditional instruction was implemented. Firstly, the researcher discuss the purpose of the experiment with the instructor, confirmed the time and place of the experiment, introduced the use of multimedia teaching combined with the TLSR teaching mode, and formulated teaching plans. Second, the two groups of students were implemented of teaching on the Job Clothes two topics before the test, after the experimental teaching and then post-test. Third, After School & Chinese Food was conducted pre-testing and post-testing after experimental teaching. The experiment took a total of two weeks and 10 lessons per week for a total of 20 lessons. The experimental results were as following: 1. The experimental group and the control group achieved remarkable progress. Second, the use of multimedia combined with TLSR teaching mode has not reached significant differences. 2. Third, the use of multimedia combined with TLSR teaching mode delay effect has not reached significant differences. 3. The TLSR teaching mode developed by the Institute can be used as a reference for future English teaching and multimedia teaching in small and medium-sized schools. Meng-Ping Tsuei, Ph.
