Recent studies have shown that interaction with nature will contribute to the development of environmentally-friendly attitudes and behaviors in addition to the physical, social, and mental health aspects of the individual. In addition, in terms of personal childhood experience, research indicates that the experience of personal childhood interaction with nature may also influence attitudes toward nature in adulthood. The aim of this study tried to find out the preferences of urban residents for the green environment, and the natural orientation of the individual to the environment. The correlation between natural interactions and questionnaires is divided into three parts: We first measured the levels of the naturalness in urban environmental via Greenness through google street view. Second, we scrutinize whether people’s levels of nature orientation (measured using the Nature Relatedness scale) vary across the similar nature experience. Third, we explored the relationship between nature experience and natural orientation. Survey respondents also provided a measure of their environmental preference. A survey was conducted among residents living in the Taipei area and the Yilan area. A total of 245 valid questionnaires were collected and analyzed by IBM SPSS Statistics. The results showed that: 1. The amount of greening in childhood's living environment and current living does not have a significant impact on the preference for environmental greening. 2. The greening of childhood's living environment has a positive impact on "NR-self" and "NR-experience" factors of the nature orientation. 3. The current greening of living environment has a positive impact on "NR-self", "NR-Perspective" and "NR-experience" factors of the nature orientation. 4. There is a significant impact between nature orientation and “NR-self” and “NR-experience” factors of nature interaction. According to the results of this study, the higher the greenness of the living environment, the higher relatedness of people to nature, that is, the higher the affective, cognition and experience of people's natural connections. Therefore, it is necessary to moderately maintain the degree of environmental greening in the city. Li Shen 沈立 2019 學位論文 ; thesis 73 zh-TW
