Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣海洋大學 === 商船學系 === 106 === Compared with the internalization of external costs of air pollution or time, it is an effective way to directly evaluate the operating fees of feeder shipping and road transport in Taiwan. In this study, 1038 TEU container ships navigating in the offshore of Taiwan West Coast from Taipei Port to Taichung Port were used as target ships, and the loading rate was taken as the comparative criterion. First of all, feeder shipping and road transport are divided into four scenarios, respectively; then, based on the standard rates or preferential rates, respectively, scenario analysis is adopted. Further, according to the same rate of scenarios, respectively, threshold analysis is used. Taking a realistic scenario as an example, the scenario analysis of the feeder shipping shows that about 85% of the total operating fees are related to the number of container, indicating that there is still much room for improvement in government preferential measures. Threshold analysis between feeder shipping and road transport shows that the average unit price at the standard rate for feeder shipping is NT$5489 while for road transport is NT$7214. As for the preferential rates, feeder shipping needs NT$5045 and road transport requires NT$ 4917. It is shown that preferential pricing strategy of trailer industry in Taiwan is successful.
