The fabricated unit possessed the quality of high temperature resistance, good thermal conductivity and excellent heat dissipation capability. These features can improve antenna performance operating at high power over an extended duration. The current fabricated unit is a vast improvement over the more common CPA constructed out of Teflon, synthetic plastic and epoxy resin, which can suffer irreparable damage under prolonged high power operation. This shortcoming has posted some obstacles in the implementing of CPA in modern day wireless communication system. This study used the 3D HFSS software developed by ANSYS to simulate the relevant parameters for the fabrication of the CPA. Two CPA horns were fabricated and the operation features measured using network analyzer and TAF-certified Far-Field antenna test equipment. Our measured results showed near identical operation features for the two fabricated CPA, indicating easy reproducibility of the antenna. The good performance of CPA give a frequency broadband from 22.5-25 GHz, a return loss ≦ -15 dB, Gain ≧ 20 dB, and Axial ratio ≦ 1.3 dB.
