With the advancement of communication technology, information transmission and exchange has become quite convenient in modern day society. Information literacy is recognized as the most fundamental knowledge and ability possessed by modern citizens in our 12-year education.
Learning how to learn is one of the most important goal of education in the 21st century, to use the Information technology most efficiently is even more essential for lifelong study. By understanding the current status of university students, it not only help us to build a blueprint for future information education, but also guide us a better understanding of what future educators should do.
In order to attend the goals, this study will be conducted by the literature review and questionnaire survey. The results will be analyzed by percentage, means, t-test and one-way ANOVA.
The results of the study are as follows:
1. The invention of mobile phones affects the human learning model.
2. The use of IT equipment can be applied more widely to learning.
3. More than 90% of university students are willing to accept using information technology equipment teaching.
4. Choosing the most popular teaching software for students is the most effective.
5. Information literacy of university students is affected by gender, and male significant differences than female.
6. Information literacy of university students is affected by their department of education, and the "Sports and Leisure Academy" students are significantly lower than other academy.
7. Information literacy of university students is affected by their educational background, and senior high school students are significant differences than vocational high schools.
8. Information literacy of university students is affected by household registration, on the issues related to the use of information, university students whose household registration in the non-north is significant different higher than that household registration in the north.
Based on the conclusions, we hope this study can propose some suggestions for education related organizations, teachers and for further studies.
