They have the meaning of cultural identity and inheritance. The preservation of historical buildings is mainly through the implementation of repair works and reuse projects, and set up the maintenance management plan for the architectural features of historical buildings, which can be operated sustainably through repurposing. In the process of implementing the preservation, restoration, repurposing and maintenance management of historical buildings, historical buildings will also be destroyed due to human error, mismanagement or some natural disaster, which will eventually fade with time. Therefore, how to preserve these cultural assets forever is an issue that needs urgent attention. Different management issues arise in the process of the preservation, restoration, activation and reuse of historical buildings because of different material structures, styles and forms of reuse. This study collects various hidden hazard factors of historical buildings, assesses the risk of disasters, discusses the maintenance and management problems faced by the repurposing of historical buildings. And start discussing disaster prevention and mitigation plans according to the management and maintenance of the historic sites as stipulated in the “Cultural Heritage Preservation Act”. Analyze the current status and value of historical building reuse through the perspective of management, SWOT analysis to explore urban development and the business strategy of combining monuments and historical buildings. Through repurposing programs, historical buildings can be preserved and continue their lifecycle, and finally achieve the purpose of activation and reuse of historical buildings.
